K2PIA Japan Networks began in 2014 when it was established as Grand Star Japan Networks in Shinjuku Ward, Tokyo.
At the time, it was named with the meaning of “a big star.”
However, to avoid confusion with an existing corporation of the same name, we decided to change to a more original name.
Thus, in October 2015, we adopted the name “Grandya,” combining ‘Grand’ with the emphatic expression “~ya!!” from Osaka Prefecture, the home of our representative.
We also adopted “Grandya” as our official name.
Around 2020, the “K2PIA” notation became standardized and more prevalent than “Grandya.”
Additionally, the domain name “k2pia.com” became the primary domain used, leading to the adoption of the current name.
Furthermore, starting in 2024, due to a new domain contract for the rental server, the domain name was changed to “k2pia.jp.”
Regarding the origin: “K2” comes from the initials of the name being K.K.
‘PIA’ is derived from “peer,” a word representing people sharing similar positions, circumstances, or experiences, adapted to the more familiar “PIA.”
We primarily manage the homepage and network-related operations such as SNS.
We are still a very small operation with limited resources, but we sincerely appreciate your continued support.
